Global Open Source Strategy Lead

Key responsibilities include :

• Position OSS as a strategic enabler within Software Strategy by framing its value in terms of innovation, ecosystem collaboration, and long-term sustainability.
• Influence and engage senior stakeholders across technology, product, and business functions to build alignment and momentum around OSS strategy.
• Shape and evolve the strategic narrative around OSS, connecting it to Volvo Cars’ broader goals and helping leaders see it as an extension of their existing priorities.
• Represent externally in OSS communities, foundations, and industry working groups (e.G., OpenChain, SPDX, LF), building visibility and credibility.
• Build and nurture strategic relationships within the OSS and automotive ecosystems to identify opportunities for collaboration, contribution, and influence.
• Drive internal adoption of OSS maturity models, governance frameworks, and best practices, ensuring they are understood, embraced, and scaled across the organization.
• Monitor and interpret OSS trends, risks, and opportunities, providing strategic insights and recommendations to leadership.
