This is a full-time on-site role located in Bengaluru for a Perl and Shell Script Developer.

The Perl and Shell Script Developer will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining Perl and Shell scripts to support various applications.

Daily tasks include writing and debugging code, performing code reviews, and collaborating with other team members to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

The role also involves integrating scripts with other systems, optimizing performance, and ensuring data integrity.

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled Perl / Shell Scripting, Linux File Management, and Oracle Database Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in scripting languages and a deep understanding of Linux systems and Oracle databases.

This role will involve developing and maintaining scripts, managing file systems, and supporting Oracle database operations.

Responsibilities : Scripting :

Develop and maintain Perl and Shell scripts.
Troubleshoot and optimize existing scripts.
Collaborate with other team members to identify opportunities for optimizing the solution.

Linux File Management :

Manage Linux file systems.

Perform compare between legs and datacentres.

Remove temporary files and backup files.

Oracle Database :

Provide support to create database queries.

Problem Solving :

Identify and troubleshoot technical problems related to scripting, Linux, and Oracle databases.

Implement effective solutions to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.

Documentation :

Create and maintain clear and concise documentation for scripts, file management procedures, and database processes.

Manage Asset Repository for all the environments.

Qualifications :

Strong proficiency in Perl and Shell scripting languages.

In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems and file management.

Experience with Oracle database administration and SQL.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Skills :

Experience with cloud platforms (e., AWS, GCP, Azure).

Knowledge of version control systems (e., Git).

Experience with automation tools (e., Ansible).
