Manager Climate Finance

Job descriptionlsDemonstrated expertise in project finance with debt equity structures, preferably in small to mid-sized renewable energy / mainstream projec tsGood understanding of project finance, payment security mechanisms, collaterals, and sources of such funding available from DFIs (Nabard, SIDBI), public and private sector banks, and philanthropic capital (not mandator y)Access to impact investors from India and outside, with a clear understanding of regulatory requirements for foreign currency transactions and repatriatio n.Experience in launching AIF I / II funds or launching NBFCs (not mandator llsAbility to impart knowledge and training to the rest of the team on climate finance taxonomy, ability to network in the debt, equity, and impact investment space, with a zeal to conclude program implementation with specific targe tiesGuide project and program (multiple small projects) structuring involving not-for-profits and the private se ctorCreate pitch decks and drive discussions with impact inves torsConceptualise blended finance facilities, including structured approaches towards program designs, investment analysis, and finalising contracts (including debt servic ing)Impart knowledge and training to the rest of the team on climate finance taxo nomyBuild relationships in the debt, equity, and impact investment s paceAssist the organization in supporting an existing cleantech equity fund or launching our own f und.Reporting struct ure : Expected to work closely with the top leadership, including the MD, Project Director, CFO, and Sr Finance Advisor, also supporting our thematic leaders in conceiving new initiatives towards implementat roundFinance professional with 8-10 years of relevant exper iencePreferred qualifications- CA / CFA / MSc or Phd in Economics or Fi nanceProfessional background Banking, finance, fund manag ementShould be at a mid-career levelPreferred / Nice to have : Experience in climate / climate finance. AIF cat I / II, global or India-specific experience in fund cre ationSoft skills requirements - collaboration, adaptability, problem-solving, integrity, learning mindset, building networks, sharing knowledge with the teamCultural requirem ents : Willingness to learn and engage cross-functionally, values aligned with the organization&aposs values.
