We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior UX Researcher with 8+ years of experience to lead and elevate user research efforts across our key products and strategic initiatives.
You will serve as the primary user advocate, partnering closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to shape impactful, user-centered product experiences based on deep user understanding and rigorous data.
This role demands mastery of both qualitative and quantitative research methods, exceptional cross-functional collaboration, and a passion for uncovering and articulating user needs to drive measurable product excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Research Strategy and Execution :
- Lead End-to-End Research : Own and execute the entire UX research lifecycle, from exploratory / generative research (understanding user problems and opportunities) to evaluative research (testing and optimizing solutions).
- Develop Strategic Roadmaps : Define and manage the quarterly / annual research roadmap for major product areas, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy, product goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Methodological Mastery : Plan, design, and execute complex research studies using a sophisticated mix of methodologies, including advanced user interviews, longitudinal studies, diary studies, rigorous usability testing, surveys (NPS / CSAT), field studies, A / B testing analysis, card sorting, tree testing, and heuristic evaluations.
- Recruitment and Screening : Oversee and optimize participant recruitment processes to ensure diverse, representative, and high-quality participant pools.
2. Synthesis and Impact :
Actionable Insights : Translate complex, cross-study research findings and raw data into clear, prioritized, and highly actionable recommendations that directly inform product strategy, design decisions, and engineering priorities.Compelling Storytelling : Synthesize and present findings to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders through compelling, data-driven storytelling, comprehensive reports, and engaging presentations.Cross-Functional Partnership : Serve as a strategic partner to Product Management to prioritize research needs based on potential impact, risk mitigation, and business value. Embed within design and engineering teams to ensure insights are applied effectively throughout the development sprint.3. Practice Leadership and Mentorship :
Scale Research Practice : Proactively contribute to and help scale a centralized Research Ops practice, including developing and standardizing research tools, templates, ethical guidelines, and internal repositories (e.g., Dovetail / similar knowledge base).Mentor and Coach : Actively mentor and coach junior researchers and effectively onboard design and product team members on foundational research best practices and ethical standards.Advocacy : Champion the user perspective and advocate for a data-informed, user-centric culture across the entire organization.Required Skills and Qualifications :
Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Anthropology, Design, or a closely related field.Experience : 8+ years of hands-on experience as a UX Researcher, with a demonstrable track record of driving significant product impact in complex domains.Research Expertise : Mastery of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including statistical rigor in survey design and analysis.Product Experience : Extensive experience working with digital products across web, mobile (iOS / Android), and ideally, specialized platforms.Management & Execution : Proven ability to strategically manage multiple concurrent, high-stakes projects, work independently, and deliver results in a fast-paced, Agile environment.Communication : Exceptional storytelling, presentation, and executive-level stakeholder communication skills, with a proven ability to influence decisions without direct authority.Tool Proficiency : High proficiency in research and analysis tools such as UserTesting / UsabilityHub, Optimal Workshop, Dovetail, Lookback, Maze, Qualtrics, or similar advanced platforms.Highly Desirable Qualifications :
Industry Experience : Direct experience in complex sectors like B2B, SaaS, Fintech, Healthcare, or regulated Enterprise environments.Mixed Methods : Comfort and experience working with mixed-method approaches, including advanced analysis using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Amplitude, Mixpanel) to merge behavioral data with attitudinal data.Design & Development Frameworks : Deep knowledge of Agile, Design Thinking, or Lean UX frameworks and how research integrates into these cycles.Accessibility & Ethics : Strong familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and a commitment to inclusive, ethical design principles.Hiring / Team Growth : Experience participating in the hiring and growth of research team members.(ref : hirist.tech)
