IndiaNIC - Python Developer - Django/PostgreSQL

Description

Key Responsibilities :

• Own and contribute to core product architecture and technical decision-making
• Design and build scalable backend systems using Python & Django
• Lead API orchestration across multiple internal and external systems (GDS, third-party APIs, AI services)
• Design efficient data models and workflows using PostgreSQL
• Work on agentic AI workflows, LLM-powered services, and orchestration layers
• Implement and optimise RAG / GraphRAG pipelines
• Collaborate with the frontend team; contribute hands-on using ReactJS when needed
• Use modern AI-assisted development tools to improve velocity and code quality
• Write clean, testable, production-grade code
• Take ownership of features from idea implementation, deployment
• Communicate clearly with product, business, and engineering stakeholders
  
  

Must-Have Skills & Experience

4+ years of experience in Python-based product development

Strong Hands-on Experience With

• Python
• Django / Django Rest Framework
• PostgreSQL
• REST & async APIs
• Proven experience in API orchestration and system integration
• Prior exposure to core product architecture (not just feature development)
• Solid understanding of LLMs, agentic AI systems, and AI pipelines
  
  

Experience With

• LangChain
• RAG & GraphRAG architectures
• Vector databases and embeddings
• Comfortable using AI coding tools such as :
• Cursor
• Claude CLI
• Antigravity (or similar)
• Working knowledge of ReactJS and full-stack workflows
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
• Mindset & Work Style (Very Important)
• Product thinker, not task executor
• Self-driven does not require micromanagement
• Strong problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset
• Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving requirements
• Takes accountability and ownership of outcomes

• Experience in travel tech, GDS, NDC, or airline systems
• Experience designing agent-based systems
• Exposure to event-driven or async architectures
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
