Information Technology Engineer

Job Purpose :

To manage and support all IT-related operations of the School of Branding & Advertising, including technical oversight of the computer lab, studio equipment, and digital assets, ensuring smooth execution of academic and creative projects.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide daily technical support to faculty, staff, and students in the computer lab environment.

Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers and operating systems, including iMacs and other specialized equipment.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues efficiently.

Assist in the setup, calibration, and upkeep of studio equipment such as DSLR cameras, lighting systems, sound equipment, and other A / V tools.

Offer on-ground support during studio-based academic and creative activities, including product photography, video recordings, and ad film shoots.

Maintain a well-documented inventory of all IT and studio assets.

Manage the secure issuance, tracking, and return of equipment such as cameras, accessories, and lab tools.

Ensure accurate record-keeping and accountability for equipment usage.

Coordinate the scheduling, availability, and smooth functioning of the computer lab, currently operating over 44 hours per week.

Organize regular maintenance, software updates, and performance checks of lab and studio systems.

Promote a safe, organized, and efficient working environment within the lab and studio facilities.

Collaborate with faculty and administration for planning and upgrading technical infrastructure based on evolving academic needs.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

Bachelor's degree in IT / Computer Science or a related field.

5-6 years of experience in IT support or lab management, preferably in an academic or media / production environment.

Proficiency in macOS and Windows systems, hardware installation, and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with studio equipment (DSLRs, lighting, audio-visual tools) is an added advantage.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
