About Content Acquisition Team - API Integration : At Tripstack, the API integration team develops integrations with various NDC, LCC, airlines, and consolidator APIs using Tripstack’s Technology platform to acquire flight content. These integrations provide essential flight booking and post-booking capabilities to Tripstack platform, which are key drivers for Tripstack’s business and offerings to OTA customers.
The Role : As a QA Engineer-II, you will be responsible for end-to-end quality assurance of API Integration where you will be expected to automate the QA. You will report to the team lead and will be an integral part of the development team. We are looking for a self-motivated, and talented individual to help us raise the bar on Quality. The candidate should be a natural problem solver, detail-oriented, and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Role and Responsibilities :
- Design and develop tests across the test pyramid : Work with the Airline API development team to ensure the thorough design, development, and execution of end-to-end, and performance testing strategies
- Responsible for preparing comprehensive test plans, enhancing existing automation frameworks with new test cases, and setting up automated test execution pipelines to enable rapid and continuous feedback.
- Continuously improve the existing test automation suite
- Conduct QA tests and verify outcomes within schedules / timelines
- Own your work : Independently take on a task from start to finish, from initial planning to completion. Own the development and maintenance of test automation solutions for Airline’s API Integration
- Drive testing quality standards and best practices across the team and organization.
- Actively collaborates with developers, product owners, product managers, product analysts, and QA peers to identify, escalate, and resolve product-related issues, ambiguities, or blockers that impact testing, functionality, or user experience
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and contribute to discussions on test strategy
- Contribute to the analysis and design of both functional and non-functional requirements and technical plans
- Collaborate : Active participation in scrum ceremonies (grooming, planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups).
- Develop end to end understanding of features supported by Tripstack's client facing API.
- Collaborate with developers, POs, and PMs to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Effectively communicate and address scope changes that may impact testing.
Mandatory Skills :
Design, develop, and execute automated API test cases using tools such as ReadyAPI and JMeter.Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing for REST and SOAP APIs.Experience with Docker containers, Wiremock, Allure, Refit.Hands-on experience with any one API testing tool (e.g., ReadyAPI, SOAP UI).Knowledge of object-oriented programming language (C# or Java).Knowledge of creating performance test cases in any of the tools (e.g., JMeter).Ability to understand the business logic of APIs and locate real user scenarios.Ability to design tests that are relevant for API.Strong fundamentals in Algorithms, OOPs, and Data Structures.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Log, track, and manage bugs using Jira, and document QA processes in Confluence.Strong written and verbal communication.Proficiency with Git source control tools (e.g., Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab).2+ years of experience in QA.Education :
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field, with experience.Good to Have :
Master's degree in Computer Science.Experience with Agile development.Experience in a cloud environment (GCP, AWS).Familiarity with tools like Postman, Fiddler, or Swagger.Understanding of Elastic tools like Kibana or Grafana.Experience with code review tools like SonarQube.Experience with automated CI / CD pipelines.Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.Prior experience in the travel industry (OTA, airline systems).Soft Skills :
