Position : Revenue Manager
Department : Sales & Revenue
Reporting To : Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Position Overview
The Revenue Manager is responsible for maximizing hotel revenue, profitability, and market share through strategic planning, pricing, inventory management, and data-driven decision-making. This role oversees room revenue performance across all distribution channels, including OTA, brand website, wholesalers, corporate, and travel trade. The Revenue Manager ensures optimal pricing, evaluates demand trends, and creates strategies that align with the hotel's business objectives. The budget for this position is up to ₹80,000 per month , and immediate joiners are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue & Yield Management
- Develop, implement, and monitor pricing strategies to maximize room revenue.
- Optimize inventory allocation across OTA, direct website, GDS, wholesale, and offline channels.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly revenue analysis and provide actionable insights.
- Forecast room demand based on market conditions, events, and historical data.
- Manage rate parity across all channels using the Channel Manager (e.g., Staah, RateTiger, SiteMinder).
2. Distribution Strategy
Monitor OTA performance and strategize for improved visibility and ranking.Coordinate with OTA account managers for promotions, campaigns, and market opportunities.Oversee extranet updates, availability loading, promotions, and content accuracy.Evaluate channel performance and recommend channel mix optimization.3. Reporting & Forecasting
Prepare daily pick-up reports, pace reports, occupancy forecasts, and revenue summaries.Present weekly revenue meetings with management : performance, insights, and forecast.Analyze competitor pricing, market demand, STR data, and benchmarking tools.Create monthly business review reports with detailed analysis and recommendations.4. System Management (PMS, RMS & Channel Manager)
Maintain rate codes, room types, and restrictions within the PMS (Opera, Ezee, IDS, etc.).Ensure seamless integration between PMS, CRS, RMS, and Channel Manager.Troubleshoot rate discrepancies and ensure data accuracy across platforms.5. Sales Collaboration
Work closely with Sales & Marketing teams on :Corporate ratesTravel agent dealsSeasonal packagesPromotions and flash salesAdvise sales team on pricing proposals and revenue implications.Support reservation team with upselling strategies and training.6. Strategy & Performance Optimization
Identify revenue growth opportunities through segmentation analysis.Optimize ADR, RevPAR, and GOPPAR.Develop short-term tactical strategies and long-term revenue plans.Recommend stop-sell, close-to-arrival, minimum stay, and other yield controls.7. Audit & Compliance
Monitor rate integrity and prevent revenue leakage across departments.Ensure all promotions, campaigns, and rates comply with hotel policies.Review and audit OTA commissions, billing, and partner payments.Qualifications & Skills
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management, Business, Finance, or related field.Experience
3–5 years of experience in hotel revenue management or reservations.Experience with PMS, RMS, and Channel Manager systems (e.g., STA AH, SiteMinder).Strong exposure to OTAs and online distribution.Technical Skills
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot, VLOOKUP, dashboards).Knowledge of revenue KPIs : ADR, RevPAR, Occupancy, Pickup, Pace.Familiarity with market intelligence tools (RateGain, TravelClick, STR).Behavioral Skills
