As an early Software Engineer you’ll set the technical tone for the company, shipping features end‑to‑end while shaping our engineering culture from the ground up.Why this role mattersOur projects range from Retrieval‑Augmented Generation chat assistants to tailor‑made predictive models embedded in client workflows. Each engagement demands rapid ideation, clear communication with non‑technical stakeholders, and disciplined, high‑quality code. You will be the technical owner who bridges product vision and delivered reality.What you’ll doOwn the full stack : Architect, implement, and maintain backend services in Python / Django / FastAPI and modern frontend SPAs in React (or Vue / Svelte / Next / Tailwind).Lead and mentor : Establish engineering best practices, conduct code reviews, and (as we grow) onboard and coach junior developers or contractors.Ship green‑field GenAI products : Prototype and productionize RAG pipelines using Haystack, LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector databases, and orchestration tools.Collaborate directly with clients : Translate ambiguous business problems into technical roadmaps; present progress and trade‑offs to executive and non‑technical audiences.Automate & scale : Design CI / CD, infrastructure‑as‑code, containerization, monitoring, and observability for cloud deployments (AWS / GCP / Azure—your call).Champion quality & security : Implement testing strategies (unit, integration, e2e), enforce secure‑by‑default coding, and manage data privacy throughout the ML lifecycle.You areSeasoned : 2 + years professional experience with Django and a modern JavaScript / TypeScript framework (React preferred).Polyglot & pragmatic : fluent in SQL, REST / GraphQL, Git workflows, containerization(Docker), and cloud services.GenAI‑curious (or better) : hands‑on with Haystack, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent frameworks for building LLM apps.Product‑minded : thrive in early‑stage ambiguity, turning sketches or paragraphs into shippable software.Communicative : write crisp design docs and explain complex ideas without jargon.Self‑directed & reliable : comfortable working solo across time zones, setting realistic estimates, and delivering on them.Bonus points forProduction experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Qdrant, pgvector, etc.).DevOps chops (Terraform, Pulumi, GitHub Actions, Argo).UI / UX sensitivity or data‑viz expertise.Prior startup or consultancy background.AWS / GCP ExperienceWhat we offerRemote‑first flexibility - we have 10+ employees collaborating from across the countryCompetitive salaryImpact from day one – zero red tape, direct access to founders & clients, and a roadmap you help define.The hiring processIntro call (30 min) – culture & high‑level skill alignment.Technical deep dive (60 min) – system‑design discussion + lightweight coding exercise.Portfolio review (45 min) – walk us through a past project you’re proud of.
