About The Opportunity

A staffing and HR services firm building internal and client-facing HR-tech solutions and automation tools. We deliver recruitment, payroll, and HR workflow systems that streamline talent operations for enterprise and SMB customers across India.

We are hiring an on-site Python Developer to join a small, fast-moving engineering team to design, build, and maintain backend services that power our HR platforms. This is an India-based, on-site role requiring strong backend engineering discipline and hands-on ownership.

Role & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and modern web frameworks.
Build and optimize data models and SQL queries for reliable, high-performance data access and reporting.
Integrate third-party services (authentication, payment gateways, HRIS, messaging) and maintain secure API contracts.
Implement automated testing, CI / CD pipelines, containerization, and deployment workflows to production.
Diagnose and resolve performance, reliability, and security issues; instrument services with logging and monitoring.
Collaborate closely with product managers, QA, and operations to deliver features on schedule and improve engineering practices.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

Proven hands-on experience with Python for backend development.

Experience with Django or Flask web frameworks.

Strong knowledge of designing and consuming RESTful APIs.

Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases (query tuning and schema design).

Version control with Git and familiarity with collaborative workflows (pull requests, branching).

Practical experience with unit testing and debugging backend systems.

Preferred

Familiarity with Docker and container-based deployments.

Exposure to message queues and background processing (Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ).

Experience with cloud platforms and managed services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

2+ years building production backend services preferred; strong portfolio or code samples welcome.

Ability to work full-time on-site in India and collaborate during regular business hours.
