Vice President, Risk Policy (Asset-Based Finance)

Job overview

This job role will require the incumbent to lead the ABF division of the Risk Policy function of the company comprising of products like CV, CE and Used Cars by shaping and implementing risk management strategies to ensure the company's sustainable growth and profitability.

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee formulation and refinement of risk policies and frameworks tailored to commercial vehicle, construction equipment and used car loans, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practices and organizations targeted profiles
• Support the oversight of the credit risk assessment process, including credit underwriting standards, associated process and operational & fraud risk controls, scoring models and risk-based pricing strategies, to maintain a high-quality loan portfolio within threshold delinquency and loss ratios
• Aid in implementing monitoring mechanisms to track portfolio performance, identify emerging country as well as state level risks and support portfolio stress testing to assess potential impacts on asset quality and capital adequacy
• Contribute to defining and communicating the company's risk appetite and tolerance levels, assisting in establishing clear risk limits and escalation protocols to manage risk exposures within acceptable thresholds.
• Support efforts to foster a strong risk culture within the organization by promoting awareness of risk management principles, participating in regular risk assessments and facilitating risk-related training programs for relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Business, Credit, Collections, Operations, Legal and Compliance, to support consensus on risk-related decisions and initiatives.
• Develop key risk indicators (KRIs) and performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of risk management strategies, contributing to the production of timely and insightful risk reports for senior management and the Board of Directors.

Experience Required

Minimum - 15-18 years in BFSI

Relevant-  5-10 years in Risk Policy of related products

Qualification Required

CA / MBA / PGDM in Finance
