Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AS400 Developer to design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBM iSeries (AS / 400) platform. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in AS400 programming and a deep understanding of interfacing objects —with the ability to integrate AS400 systems seamlessly with external applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBM iSeries (AS / 400) platform.
Develop and maintain interfacing objects to ensure smooth integration between AS400 and other enterprise applications.
Work on CL programs, RPGLE, COBOL, SQL / 400, and DB2 / 400.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing AS400 applications.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
Ensure application stability, performance, and scalability.
Support deployment, upgrades, and production incident resolution.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience in AS400 / iSeries application development.

Proficiency in RPG, RPGLE, CLLE, COBOL / 400, SQL / 400, DB2 / 400.

Expertise in interfacing objects and knowledge of how AS400 integrates with external applications.

Experience with APIs, middleware, and integration tools.

Good understanding of batch processing and job scheduling on AS400.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
