Technical Architect - Loan Origination System

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the end-to-end architecture and technology strategy for Loan Origination Systems across retail, SME, commercial, and corporate lending businesses.

- Design scalable, secure, and highly available enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and RESTful APIs.

- Architect cloud-native solutions that support digital lending, workflow automation, and seamless customer onboarding.

- Collaborate with Business, Product, Risk, Operations, Compliance, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Define architecture standards, design principles, coding guidelines, and governance frameworks across the lending ecosystem.

- Build modular and reusable service architectures capable of supporting high transaction volumes and business growth.

- Design event-driven architectures using messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ for asynchronous processing.

- Architect integrations with external systems including Credit Bureaus, CKYC, Aadhaar, PAN verification, Account Aggregators, eSign, Payment Gateways, AML, Fraud Detection, and Digital KYC platforms.

- Define API integration strategies with Core Banking Systems, CRM platforms, Payment Systems, and third-party financial service providers.

- Ensure system architecture supports high availability, disaster recovery, fault tolerance, and business continuity.

- Design robust security frameworks including authentication, authorization, encryption, audit logging, and regulatory compliance.

- Optimize application performance through caching, database tuning, load balancing, and distributed computing techniques.

- Lead architecture reviews, code reviews, design discussions, and technical governance across development teams.

- Mentor engineering teams on Java best practices, design patterns, domain-driven design, and clean architecture principles.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the LOS technology landscape.

- Participate in RFP evaluations, technology assessments, and vendor selection processes.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automated deployment strategies.

- Drive Agile delivery practices and ensure timely delivery of high-quality enterprise solutions.

Required Skills :

- 10 to 14 years of experience in enterprise software architecture and application development.

- Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience designing or managing Loan Origination Systems (LOS) within BFSI or NBFC organizations.

- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, and Microservices Architecture.

- Extensive experience designing RESTful APIs and enterprise integration solutions.

- Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and service-oriented architecture.

- Experience with workflow and business process management platforms.

- Expertise in digital lending platforms and end-to-end loan lifecycle management.

- Strong knowledge of credit underwriting, loan processing, document management, and lending workflows.

- Experience integrating with Credit Bureaus, CKYC, KYC, AML, Payment Gateways, and third-party financial systems.

- Strong understanding of relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.

- Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis.

- Strong knowledge of caching strategies, database optimization, and application performance tuning.

- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms.

- Experience working with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and deployment automation.

- Experience implementing enterprise security standards including OAuth2, JWT, SSL/TLS, API security, and encryption.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and architectural decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience designing enterprise lending solutions for Retail, SME, Vehicle, Gold, Housing, or Personal Loans.

- Exposure to Core Banking Systems such as Finacle, TCS BaNCS, Flexcube, or similar platforms.

- Experience with Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP), API Gateways, and ESB technologies.

- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including RBI guidelines, data privacy, and information security standards.

- Experience in solution governance, enterprise architecture, and technology modernization initiatives.

- TOGAF, AWS, Azure, or Java architecture certifications are an added advantage.
