The primary responsibility of a functional consultant is to collaborate closely with business stakeholders to comprehend their requirements and design solutions within the scope of enterprise supply planning.
They are expected to work in conjunction with technical teams to convert functional specifications into detailed technical designs and define acceptance criteria. Additionally, they must build and execute test plans, encompassing unit, integration, UAT, and regression testing.
Investigating, resolving, and communicating system issues is a critical aspect of this role, as is providing support for custom developments, preparing functional technical specifications, and ensuring successful implementation.
The consultant will be responsible for conducting unit testing, system testing, end-user testing, business sign-off, and deployment. Furthermore, they will need to work with PL / SQL scripting for data validation and process automation.
The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in supporting functionality development within enterprise supply planning, along with a strong understanding of SAP ERP data integration and supply chain planning processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, analysts, developers, DBAs, middleware, and infrastructure professionals.
