What Do We Expect from You :

Responsibilities :

Represent Rakuten Mobile as a

delegate

in

O-RAN Alliance

or

3GPP

Attend technical standards workgroup meetings remotely and physically.

Work with engineering teams from different business units and R&D team to generate technical standards contributions and invention proposals.

Work with a global team across several locations and time zones.

Work with attorneys to file patents on novel ideas and carry out IP activities.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) :

Knowledge and understanding of

O-RAN Alliance and 3GPP NR Standards .

Domain expert of

eSON / RIC (xApp,rAPP) OR O-Cloud (SMO , ETSI-MANO ) OR RAN (PHY,MAC)

Knowledge of

AI / ML usage in Telecommunication Networks .

Experience with prototyping, development or standardization of wireless products.

Available to travel to different destinations worldwide to attend standards meetings.

Strong communication, networking, collaboration and influencing skills.

Qualification Requirements :

BS in Telecommunications, Electronics or Computer Science (MS is a plus)

5+ years RAN / SON / Telecom Cloud development

1+ year of experience with AI / ML Modeling and Use case development for RAN / RIC / SMO / SON

Candidates with Prior experience of Standardization (Delegate or Back office) will be preferred.
