Role Overview :
The Data Governance Developer is responsible for building and maintaining metadata management, data lineage, compliance, and governance frameworks across the data ecosystem, primarily using Microsoft Purview and related Azure technologies.
Key Responsibilities :
Set up and configure Microsoft Purview , including collections, roles, scanning jobsIntegrate with Azure Data Lake , Synapse , SQL DB , Power BI , SnowflakeImplement metadata ingestion and automate workflows using PowerShell , Logic Apps , Azure Functions , and REST APIsMaintain business glossary, data classification (PII, PCI, PHI), and labeling policiesEnsure compliance via Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) and DLP toolsDesign dashboards in Power BI and use Azure Monitor for insightsConduct audits for metadata quality and maintain governance consistencyTools & Technologies :
