Xylem Learning is expanding its counseling and sales team and is looking for enthusiastic, results-focused Student Counselors . In this role, you will play a critical part in the company's growth by guiding prospective students and parents toward informed academic decisions, effectively promoting Xylem's educational programs, and driving enrollments.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a background in academic advising, consultative sales, or the education sector who are driven by the dual goals of helping learners succeed and achieving ambitious business targets.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead Engagement : Initiate contact with prospective students and parents via structured outbound and inbound calls utilizing the provided lead database.
- Personalized Guidance : Conduct in-depth needs assessments to understand each student's academic goals, challenges, and aspirations , and then recommend the most suitable Xylem Learning programs.
- Program Advocacy : Confidently and persuasively present and promote Xylem Learning’s diverse course offerings.
- Relationship Management : Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships through personalized counseling, consistent support, and regular follow-ups.
- Target Achievement : Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly enrollment and revenue targets .
- Data Management : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all calls, follow-ups, and enrollments within the CRM system.
- Collaboration : Work closely with the academic, marketing, and operations teams to stay informed about new programs, offers, and initiatives .
- Process Improvement : Provide valuable feedback to leadership to enhance lead quality, conversion strategies , and the overall student experience.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education : Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.Experience : 0–2 years of relevant experience in academic counseling, student advisory, or sales (prior experience in the education sector is a distinct advantage).Performance : Proven track record or strong capacity to meet or surpass sales / enrollment targets .Key Skills & Attributes
Communication : Excellent persuasion, negotiation, and overall communication skills .Interpersonal : Strong capacity for relationship-building and interpersonal rapport.Drive : Self-motivated, proactive, and intensely target-driven work approach.Adaptability : Solution-oriented and able to adapt quickly in a demanding, fast-paced setting.Language : Proficiency in Malayalam is preferred ;good English communication skills are desirable.
