Senior Azure DevOps Architect

Location : Pune / Hyderabad

Total Experience : 6-10 years

Relevant Experience : 5-8 years in DevOps / Azure DevOps + JavaScript / extension development

Qualification :

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, IT or equivalent
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified : Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified : Azure Developer Associate (preferred)
• Roles & Responsibilities :
• Architect and implement scalable project / team hierarchies in Azure DevOps : Projects, Teams, Epics, Features, User Stories, Tasks, Boards
• Define and standardize work item taxonomy, process templates, and enforce consistency across multiple teams
• Setup role-based access controls (RBAC), governance, and permission models across the DevOps environment
• Design, build, and maintain custom Azure DevOps extensions with read / write capabilities, interacting with system fields, custom fields, and backend logic
• Invoke APIs and webhooks from work items; pass system field values into API workflows to automate business logic
• Integrate Azure DevOps with external systems (e.g. Snowflake, Azure SQL, SharePoint) using REST APIs, webhooks, or SDKs
• Customize work item forms : dynamic fields, conditional rules, custom layouts to improve usability and data capture
• Develop user friendly extensions as custom tabs or pages within Azure Boards using React Js , Write API Node / JS API host on Azure App service.
• Retrieve and manipulate data using programmatic workflows, bridging UI and backend logic
• Use Azure DevOps SDK to debug extension behaviors, troubleshoot API / SDK interactions, and resolve UI rendering issues
• Develop and maintain Dashboards, Queries, and Boards to monitor progress, blockers, team metrics, and cross team visibility
• Host backend services (e.g. on Azure App Services) using Node.js, Python; develop frontend interfaces in ReactJS, AngularJS, or vanilla JavaScript; store and query data using SQL
• Configure and maintain Azure Boards for Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban) across distributed engineering teams
• Customize iteration paths, backlog structures, sprint boards, and release boards
• Build dynamic queries and dashboards to expose planning metrics, blockers, throughput, and delivery insights
• Integrate Boards with Git based CI / CD pipelines, ensuring traceability from code, commits, pull requests to work item
