Reports to : BI Manager

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team and help turn raw data into actionable insights using Microsoft Power BI. As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports, providing support in data analysis, and working with stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions that drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Data Modeling & ETL : Design, develop, and maintain Power BI data models using SQL, DAX, Power Query, and other tools to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
  • Dashboard & Report Development : Build interactive, visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Data Integration : Integrate various data sources (e.g., SQL databases, Excel, SharePoint, web services, and third-party APIs) into Power BI.
  • Data Analysis & Insights : Analyze business requirements and data, collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting needs, and deliver insights through automated reports and dashboards.
  • Performance Optimization : Monitor and optimize report performance to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with business users and IT teams to understand reporting requirements, provide training, and ensure data integrity.
  • Documentation & Best Practices : Document solutions, design processes, and ensure adherence to Power BI best practices for data governance, security, and performance.

Key Skills & Qualifications :

  • Technical Skills :
  • Expertise in Power BI (Desktop, Service, and Power BI Report Server).
  • Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and M code.
  • Proficient in database management and SQL, including querying large datasets and optimizing queries for performance.
  • Experience with data visualization principles and creating interactive dashboards.
  • Familiarity with other Microsoft technologies like Azure Data Services, SQL Server, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience :
  • Minimum of5to 10 years of hands-on experience in developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Proven experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and report performance tuning.
  • Experience in business intelligence or analytics roles, with a solid understanding of KPIs, metrics, and data analysis.
  • Soft Skills :
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of other BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or SAP BusinessObjects.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Power Automate, or other cloud-based data solutions.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning, or AI integrations with Power BI.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
