Snowflake Data Engineer

📍 Location : Remote, India

💼 Job Type : Full-time

We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to join our growing data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, cloud platforms (AWS / Azure), and modern data engineering practices, with the ability to design and implement scalable data pipelines that support business-critical analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain data ingestion and automation pipelines using Snowflake, Snowpipe, SQL, and cloud-native services.
  • Develop and manage ELT workflows ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems.
  • Work with AWS services (S3, EC2, CloudWatch, Lambda) to enable efficient data integration with Snowflake.
  • Implement and support CI / CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, and Terraform for automated deployments.
  • Apply advanced Snowflake features such as Time Travel, Data Masking, Warehouse Sizing, and Performance Optimization .
  • Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and resolve production issues in Snowflake and data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data-driven insights .
  • Contribute to improving data engineering best practices, coding standards, and process automation.

Key Skills & Experience

  • 5–7 years of experience in Data Engineering / BI with hands-on expertise in Snowflake .
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, DBT , and workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow .
  • Proven experience with AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch) and exposure to Azure or GCP.
  • Experience with CI / CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform) for data pipeline automation.
  • Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL / ELT pipelines , and performance optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle production issues and deliver timely solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Nice to Have

  • Experience with Google BigQuery and GCP ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Data Studio, Tableau).
  • Exposure to sustainability or automotive industry data projects.
  • Education

  • Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
