Key Responsibilities

Lead

end-to-end Snowflake implementations

covering architecture, design, modeling, and governance.

Drive

data & pipeline migrations from legacy to Snowflake , ensuring scalability, reliability, and business continuity.

Architect and optimize

Snowflake models

using clustering keys, materialized views, Streams, and Tasks.

Build scalable

ELT / ETL pipelines

with modern tools and frameworks.

Define and enforce

engineering standards

for Snowflake development, testing, deployment, and CI / CD automation.

Partner with

cross-functional teams

(Data Engineering, Analytics, DevOps, and Business Stakeholders) to deliver impactful solutions.

Implement

data security & governance policies

using Snowflake’s native features.

Continuously monitor and

optimize cost and performance

of Snowflake workloads.

Provide

technical mentorship, code reviews, and documentation

to raise the engineering bar.

Lead

production deployment & cutovers , ensuring smooth operations in live environments.

Required Skills & Expertise

Snowflake Architecture : Warehouses, multi-cluster, zero-copy cloning, secure data sharing.

Performance Tuning : Query optimization, clustering strategies, workload management.

Data Engineering : Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, JavaScript stored procedures, ingestion pipelines.

Security & Governance : RBAC, dynamic data masking, row-level security, object tagging.

SQL Mastery : Advanced queries, transformations, semi-structured data (JSON, XML).

Cloud Integration : Snowflake with AWS / Azure / GCP (S3, Lambda, Step Functions, etc.).

ETL / ELT Tools : Airflow, DBT, Matillion (or similar).

Data Formats : JSON, Parquet, semi-structured data handling.

Version Control : Git workflows (branching, merging, PR reviews).
