accountant's core responsibility is managing financial data for individuals or organizations, which includes tracking transactions, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing financial advice to aid in decision-making and optimize financial performance. Key duties involve bookkeeping, reconciling accounts, managing budgets, filing taxes, performing audits, and creating financial reports.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Record Keeping :
Accurately recording all financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and managing financial documents.
Financial Reporting :
Preparing key financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for internal and external stakeholders.
Budgeting & Forecasting :
Developing and managing budgets, forecasting financial performance, and monitoring spending to ensure financial stability.
Tax Preparation & Compliance :
Ensuring all financial records and statements comply with local, national, and international regulations, preparing and filing tax returns accurately.
Financial Analysis :
Analyzing financial data to identify trends, assess risks, and recommend strategies to management to reduce costs, enhance revenue, and improve profitability.
Auditing :
Conducting internal and external financial audits, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
Advisory Services :
Providing financial advice to management and clients to support strategic decision-making, investment strategies, and other fiscal matters.

Requirements
Work experience as an Accountant. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
