We are seeking a Lead Member of Technical Staff to join our Unified Pipeline team within our Chennai R&D, Platform subdivision, Internal Developer Platform. You will be a key player in designing, building, and maintaining robust CI / CD pipelines that are critical to improving the productivity of our development teams. You are a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in CI / CD tools, cloud infrastructure, and container orchestration. Your ability to mentor junior engineers and drive technical strategy will be vital in scaling our platform.

Your expertise in Harness, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and AWS is a significant asset. You are an excellent communicator, capable of navigating complex technical and business domains. You are a pragmatic problem-solver who demonstrates exceptional design and engineering excellence.

The Team : The Unified Pipeline Team is responsible for building and maintaining a highly reliable and scalable CI / CD platform. Our goal is to provide a seamless and secure developer experience by standardizing deployment workflows, accelerating delivery, and ensuring application quality. We are at the forefront of adopting modern DevOps practices and leveraging cutting-edge tools to enable our product teams to innovate faster.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Design and Implement Solutions : Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable and reliable CI / CD pipelines using Harness and Jenkins. Drive the migration and consolidation of existing pipelines to a unified platform.
  • Technical Leadership : Mentor and guide junior engineers on best practices for CI / CD, pipeline as code, and infrastructure management. Provide technical direction and contribute to the team's long-term strategy.
  • Pipeline Optimization : Continuously optimize and fine-tune pipelines to reduce build and deployment times, improving overall developer lead time. Implement parallel execution strategies and other performance enhancements.
  • Cloud and Container Expertise : Design and manage Kubernetes deployment strategies (e.g., Canary, Blue / Green) and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services. Ensure pipelines integrate seamlessly with EKS clusters.
  • Observability and Security : Integrate observability tools into deployment workflows to provide real-time dashboards for deployment events, health checks, and performance metrics. Implement security best practices and ensure compliance throughout the pipeline.
  • Hands-on Development : Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot pipeline code (e.g., Groovy for Jenkins, YAML for Harness). Automate recurring tasks and build tools to improve the team's efficiency.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with product teams, security, and NOC to understand their requirements and provide expert guidance. Ensure the pipeline platform meets the needs of all stakeholders.
  • Agile Contribution : Participate and contribute actively to Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Education, Experience, & Skills Required :

  • 8+ years of experience in a software development or DevOps engineering role, with a strong focus on CI / CD.
  • Proven experience in a technical leadership or mentoring capacity.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Deep expertise in Harness (Pipeline as Code, GitOps, advanced deployment strategies) and Jenkins (Groovy, Shared Libraries, plugins).
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (managing deployments, services, and understanding of EKS).
  • Extensive knowledge of AWS services (e.g., EC2, EKS, IAM, S3).
  • Strong scripting skills in one or more languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Groovy).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
