Role : Analyst, Algorithm Research & Development
Location : Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
Experience : 2 - 5 Years
Must Have Qualifications
- Education : BE / B.Tech / MCA / M.Sc (Mandatory)
- Note : Diploma, BCA, or BSc (3 yrs) not considered.
- Programming : Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in C++ and Python.
- Computational Geometry : Practical experience is a must (academic project / internship use is
acceptable).
Algorithms & Processing : Strong knowledge of graph algorithms and image processing.Industry Background : Prior experience in Product / Semiconductor / Hardware Manufacturing companies (current or past role is acceptable).Preferred Institutes : IIT, IIIT, VIT, NIT (Tier-1 colleges).Key Responsibilities :
Develop algorithms focusing on optical modeling and computational geometry-based image processing.Work on graph algorithms, spatial data structures, and numerical optimization with efficienthandling of geometric queries & transformations.
Explore and adopt modern frameworks, tools, and best practices to enhance the platformscapabilities.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (developers, testers, domain experts).Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.Required Skills & Experience :
Professional Experience : 3+ years in algorithm development with a focus on graphalgorithms, spatial data structures, and numerical Proficiency :
Python (numpy, scipy, pandas, trimesh).C++ (advanced concepts) or Rust (preferred for performance-critical geometry tasks).Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python).Systems Knowledge : Understanding of OS, computer networks, CPUs, GPUs, accelerators, and distributed systems architecture.Collaboration & Adaptability : Ability to communicate ideas clearly and adapt to dynamic environments.Preferred / Nice-to-Have :
HPC / Simulation : Background in scientific computing, HPC, simulations (CFD / FEA).DevOps & CI / CD : Experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.Containerization & Cloud : Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).(ref : hirist.tech)
