Summary : We are seeking a highly experienced Senior IBM i Administrator to manage and maintain our IBM i (AS / 400, iSeries) systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in day-to-day operations, monitoring, and performance tuning, with a strong secondary focus on IBM i security hardening , compliance, and best practices.

You will work as a key member of our IT infrastructure team to ensure system availability, reliability, and security in a mission-critical environment.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

System Operations

• Monitor and manage the health, performance, and availability of IBM i systems.
• Execute and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Perform IPLs, system saves, PTF installations, and license key updates.
• Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot batch jobs and job queues.
• Perform daily system checks and log reviews to ensure optimal operation.
• Collaborate with application teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize system usage.

EDUCATION :

Preferred undergraduate degree in computer science, information systems or related field and / or equivalent work experience.

EXPERIENCE :

A Minimum of 5 years related experience in a business production environment.
