Job Summary
We are seeking a Consultant, Audio Engineering to join our Pune / Bengaluru office. In this role, you will support the design and documentation of sound reinforcement and public address / voice alarm (PA / VA) systems on high-profile projects. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, and capable of collaborating with architects, engineers, ICT / networking teams, and fire / life safety specialists to deliver world-class audio system solutions.
Responsibilities : Discovery & Planning
- Engage stakeholders to define acoustic and operational requirements.
- Conduct site surveys and acoustic measurements (e.g., background noise, RT60) to establish design criteria.
Design & Specification
Contribute to system modelling / simulation using electroacoustic / room acoustic tools.Develop loudspeaker layouts and system configurations under guidance.Co-produce technical reports including simulation results, performance analysis, and narratives.Assist in designing sound reinforcement and PA / VA system architectures.Prepare and coordinate BIM / CAD deliverables (plans, risers, block / signal flow diagrams).Support tender documentation including Bills of Quantities and acceptance criteria.Ensure compliance with relevant codes / standards.Construction Support
Contribute to RFP preparation, technical evaluations, and value engineering.Review submittals / shop drawings and respond to RFIs.Support site supervision, quality checks, and factory acceptance tests.Commissioning & Handover
Assist in commissioning activities including device addressing, DSP programming, and tuning.Conduct and document field measurements (e.g., SPL, STI / STIPA, impulse response, polarity / phase).Project Management & Documentation
Assist with project scope, schedule, and risk tracking.Maintain project records, including meeting minutes, reports, and punch lists.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Acoustical Engineering, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Sound Engineering Technology, Audio / Acoustics, Physics, or related field.3–10 years of experience in audio systems design / consulting or integrator-side engineering for venues (airports, stadiums, auditoria, houses of worship, performing arts centers, etc.).Required Skills :
Knowledge of loudspeaker directivity, array behavior, gain structure, DSP filtering, time alignment, and zoning strategies.Understanding of acoustic metrics (STI, STIPA, RT60, EK, SNR, etc.) and relevant codes / standards.Familiarity with networked audio protocols, cabling, grounding, and rigging basics.Experience with electroacoustic / room acoustic modelling tools (e.g., EASE).Exposure to measurement and tuning tools (e.g., Smart, EASERA, SPL / STIPA meters).Proficiency with CAD / BIM tools for documentation.Preferred Skills :
AVIXA CTS-D / CTS-I certification.Hands-on experience with DSP platforms and control systems.Exposure to acoustics consulting (room shaping, passive treatments, environmental noise modelling).Equal Opportunity Statement :
