Presales Simulation Engineer – CAE

Job Description

We are looking for a Presales Simulation Engineer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in CAE and simulation tools such as Hexagon MSC (MSC Nastran, MSC Adams, MSC Apex , Patran) CFD Cradle , Actran for acoustics etc..

The role focuses on technical presales support, customer engagement, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (POC) execution to support business growth.

The ideal candidate will act as a technical interface between customers, sales teams, and delivery teams, helping customers understand how simulation solutions can solve their engineering challenges.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

▪ Support sales and business development teams with technical presales activities.

▪ Understand customer engineering problems related to structural, dynamics, multibody, and multi-physics simulations.

▪ Engage with customer technical teams to gather requirements and define solution scope.

▪ Recommend appropriate MSC or equivalent CAE solutions based on customer needs. ▪ Prepare and deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and tool walkthroughs.

▪ Develop POCs and sample simulation models to showcase tool capabilities.

▪ Demonstrate workflows for static, modal, nonlinear, transient, and multibody simulations.

▪ Support customers during tool evaluations and pilot projects.

▪ Translate customer requirements into technical solution workflows.

▪ Support preparation of technical content for proposals, RFQs, and RFPs.

▪ Assist in defining scope, assumptions, and effort estimates for simulation solutions.

▪ Coordinate with internal engineering teams for solution validation.

▪ Provide guidance on solver selection, meshing strategies, material modeling, and boundary conditions.

▪ Address customer queries related to accuracy, convergence, performance, and test correlation.

▪ Clearly articulate technical differentiators between MSC tools and competing CAE solutions.

▪ Prepare demo reports, POC summaries, and technical presentations.

▪ Maintain standard demo models, datasets, and presales documentation.

▪ Capture customer feedback and share insights with internal teams.

▪ Stay updated on latest features and releases of CAE tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

▪ BE / BTech / ME / MTech in Mechanical / Aerospace / Automotive / Applied Mechanics or related field.

▪ 2–3 years of experience in CAE / Simulation.

▪ Hands-on experience with Hexagon MSC tools MSC Patran, (Nastran), MSC Adams, Cradle (CFD), Actran.etc.

▪ Strong understanding of FEA fundamentals, structural mechanics, and dynamics and CFD expertise.

▪ Experience with meshing, boundary conditions, nonlinear/contact modelling.

▪ Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers and non-technical stakeholders.

▪ Good communication and presentation skills.

▪ Willingness to work from Bangalore and interact with customers.
