Role: Head HR

Location: Chennai

Job Summary

The Head of Human Resources is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support business objectives, foster a positive workplace culture, and drive employee engagement and performance. This leadership role oversees talent management, talent development, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Drive initiatives to improve company culture, employee engagement, and retention.

Talent Management - encompassing:

  • Succession Planning , Career planning, HI-PO Management
  • Develop and administer a process which focuses on building bench strength to meet current and future business needs.
  • Serve as a resource to recruiting and business partners in the identification of candidates for critical roles.
  • Conduct individual leadership, career and talent assessments as appropriate using a variety of tools.

Organizational Development and Design:

  • Identify and analyze organization effectiveness opportunities and recommend initiatives that address global and regional opportunities based on business strategy.

Organizational Leadership:

  • Form collaborative relationships with Human Resources leaders and Business Partners in order to execute talent strategies and efforts to support the growth/strategic objectives of the company.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Oversee recruitment and selection processes to attract top talent.
  • Implement employer branding strategies to enhance the company s reputation as a great place to work.
  • Manage workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development programs.

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to maintain a fair and compliant work environment.
  • Oversee performance management programs, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Handle complex employee relations issues, grievances, and conflict resolution.

Compensation, Benefits & Compliance

  • Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor industry trends to keep HR policies up to date.

Learning & Development

  • Design and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Promote leadership development initiatives for managers and high-potential employees.

HR Operations & Technology

  • Oversee HR systems and tools for efficiency and automation.
  • Manage HR metrics, reporting, and analytics to support decision-making.
  • Ensure smooth payroll, compliance, and administrative functions.


Candidate Requirement:


- 15+ years of experience in handling the HR from a mid sixed IT Services.


- MBA/ MSW (HR) - Full time, mandatory


- Excellent team handling, stakeholder engagement skills


- Excellent communication
