Job Responsibilities :

Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Visual Arts (Painting, Sculpture, Applied Arts, Digital / Contemporary Art Practices, Art History, etc.).
Supervise student projects, dissertations, and research work.
Develop curriculum and course content aligned with industry practices and emerging trends in art and design.
Engage in academic research, exhibitions, publications, and creative practices in the field of Visual Arts.
Mentor and guide students in their academic, creative, and professional pursuits.
Participate in departmental and university-level committees, workshops, seminars, and exhibitions.
Build collaborations with industry, galleries, art institutions, and cultural bodies.
Contribute to the university’s vision of excellence in research, innovation, and holistic education.

Job Knowledge (Prerequisites)

Strong knowledge in contemporary and traditional art practices.

Proficiency in integrating technology, digital tools, and interdisciplinary approaches in art education.

Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.

Ability to engage in collaborative research and creative projects.

Passion for experiential learning and student-centered pedagogy.

Education

Master’s Degree in Visual Arts / Fine Arts or equivalent with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade).

Ph.D. in Visual Arts or relevant discipline is mandatory.

Experience :

Minimum 8 years of teaching / research / industry experience at university / college level, with evidence of published research / artistic work.
