Talent Acquisition Lead (Second-in-Command to Head of TA)

Location : Andheri East, Mumbai

Company : Ergode

We are looking for a high-ownership, strategic, and data-driven Talent Acquisition Team Lead who will operate as the extended brain of the Head of Recruitment . This is not a traditional recruiter role—it requires someone who can lead hiring end-to-end, build scalable hiring engines, improve the source mix, and drive hiring volumes in a fast-paced ecommerce environment.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the TA function through analytics, dashboards, process excellence, talent intelligence, and strong stakeholder partnership.

What You Will Own

Strategic Talent Acquisition

  • Co-create and execute recruitment strategies with the Head of TA, aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Use data, insights, and structured hiring practices to advise and influence stakeholders.
  • Develop continuous pipelines for critical talent segments.

Operational Leadership

  • Own the full recruitment lifecycle—from sourcing to onboarding—with strong independence.
  • Improve conversion ratios, reduce time-to-hire, and strengthen candidate quality through funnel optimization.
  • Build dashboards, weekly hiring insights, and TA metrics for leadership reviews.
  • Sourcing & Talent Intelligence

  • Drive proactive sourcing across job boards, social platforms, referrals, headhunting, and talent mapping.
  • Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and availability studies to steer hiring decisions.
  • Experiment with new channels to improve source diversity and volume.
  • Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with functional leaders and hiring managers to understand workforce plans.
  • Maintain strong communication, expectation management, and timely execution.
  • Candidate Experience & Process Excellence

  • Ensure a seamless interview experience with structured assessments and clear communication.
  • Enhance hiring processes and interview bar-raising mechanisms.
  • Specialized Hiring Initiatives

  • Lead volume hiring, niche hiring, and select leadership roles .
  • Plan and execute campus recruitment initiatives.
  • Manage vendors only when needed to support scale.
  • What You Bring

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience

  • 5+ years in Talent Acquisition , ideally across fast-paced environments such as startups, ecommerce, or mid-sized organizations.
  • Experience managing high-volume funnels as well as specialized talent searches.
  • Strong analytical and presentation capabilities for reporting TA metrics.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder partnership skills.
  • Strong interviewer with a sharp eye for talent quality.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing priorities.
  • Hustle mindset—resourceful, proactive, and driven by outcomes.
  • Technical Skills

  • Experience with ATS platforms (Keka preferred).
  • Strong Excel / PowerPoint skills for reporting and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with Canva is added advantage.
