Job description

Were seeking a Technical Writer with 3+ years of experience, ideally gained in environments involving both hardware and software. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to craft documentation that elevates user experiencefrom release notes to training content.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Partner with Product Managers to author clear, accurate release notes that effectively communicate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
  • Develop FAQs, user / help guides, product collateral, and internal documentation based on training sessions and engineering inputs.
  • Contribute to or support API documentation efforts, translating technical details into clear reference guides or developer-facing content.
  • Deliver internal or customer-facing training sessions, create tutorial materials, and empower users and teams through documentation-driven learning.

Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum 3 years of technical writing experience, preferably in companies handling both hardware and software products.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering to produce clear release notes.
  • Strong experience creating FAQs, how-to guides, and other product documentation deriving from internal knowledge transfer.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with an ability to adapt tone across audiences.
  • Familiarity with documentation tools (e.g., Markdown, Confluence, CMS, Figma) and basic markup languages (e.g., Markdown, XML).

    • Preferred (Good-to-Have) Skills :

  • Experience with API documentation, including reference guides and developer docs, using formats like OpenAPI, Javadoc, Doxygen.
  • Background in training development, creating curricula or session content.
  • Knowledge of telematics conceptssuch as vehicle sensors, OBD devices, IoT connectivity, fleet analytics, etc.
