Associate Accountant

Inspire Brands is disrupting the restaurant industry through digital transformation and operational efficiencies. The companys technology hub, Inspire Brands Hyderabad Support Center, India, will lead technology innovation and product development for the organization and its portfolio of distinct brands. The Inspire Brands Hyderabad Support Center will focus on developing new capabilities in data science, data analytics, eCommerce, automation, cloud computing, and information security to accelerate the companys business strategy. Inspire Brands Hyderabad Support Center will also host an innovation lab and collaborate with start-ups to develop solutions for productivity optimization, workforce management, loyalty management, payments systems, and more. This position will ensure appropriate accounting, recording, and reconciliation of global accounting transactions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate under policies and established procedures in alignment with GAAP, including adherence to accounting standards. Account for end-to-end global processes, including elimination of intercompany transactions. Prepare and record accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Responsible for financial close activities including completion of analytics and internal controls. Prepare support for audits and associated operational activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Respond to requests for information from senior management, FP&A, Tax, IA, Legal, and other functional areas of the business.
• Help foster an environment of continuous improvement within and among other departments concerning the accuracy of all transactions entered into the general ledger.
• Perform ad hoc projects and analysis as assigned.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in accounting.
• Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant candidates preferred.

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 3 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in Public Company and technical accounting experience preferred. Experience in preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Experience working as part of and contributing to a larger team.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES:

• Strong written communication skills.
• Aptitude for learning new systems.
• Ability to work independently and meet multiple, concurrent and aggressive deadlines.
• Positive attitude with the willingness to accept flexibility in assignments and the desire to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to excel.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES:

• Experience with Oracle or other major ERP systems.

DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:

• This position does not have decision making, managing or hiring authority.

DIRECT REPORTS:

• This position does not have any direct reports.
