Job Descriptionc :
We are seeking a seasoned Head Production & Application Support to lead and manage the banks enterprise-wide production support and application support functions. The role requires deep expertise in banking applications across assets, liabilities, and channels, with proven leadership in managing large, business-critical technology environments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Core Banking Systems (CBS), CRM, Payments Channels, and Internet / Mobile Banking (IBMB), with hands-on understanding of at least 23 such applications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide strategic leadership for the production and application support team, ensuring stability, performance, and availability of all critical banking applications.
- Oversee day-to-day support of applications including CBS, CRM, Payment channels, and IBMB systems.
- Ensure incident, problem, and change management processes are effectively implemented.
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA), resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to align technology support with business needs.
- Define SLAs, KPIs, and governance frameworks for application support operations.
- Manage vendor relationships (CBS, CRM, Payment solution providers) to ensure timely delivery and escalations.
- Lead a large cross-functional support team, mentoring managers and SMEs.
- Ensure compliance with audit, risk, and regulatory requirements for production systems.
- Drive automation, monitoring, and modernization of application support practices.
Required Skills & Experience :
20+ years of IT experience, with at least 10 years in leadership roles managing production / application support in the banking domain.Strong knowledge of banking applications across assets & liabilities (CBS, CRM, Payment Channels, IBMB).Hands-on expertise in at least 23 banking applications.Proven leadership of large production support organizations (100+ members across L1, L2, L3 support).Experience in incident & problem management, ITIL practices, and large-scale operations.Strong stakeholder management, communication, and vendor management skills.Ability to drive strategic transformation in application support (automation, monitoring, DevOps integration).Good to Have :
Certification in ITIL / Service Management.Experience in cloud migration and modern banking technology platforms.Exposure to regulatory audits, risk & compliance in BFSI sector.(ref : hirist.tech)
