Job description

Role Overview :

The Head - Brand Alliances and Partnerships will lead and drive strategic partnerships to expand VG’s vast network of digital rewards and branded currency solutions. This role demands a forward-thinking leader capable of managing existing brand relationships, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring seamless technical and financial integrations to enhance VG’s ecosystem.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Proven track record in managing strategic alliances and partnerships, preferably in fintech, loyalty, or digital gifting industries.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • In-depth understanding of the fintech, rewards, and loyalty program landscape, including market trends.
  • Proficiency in handling P&L responsibilities and legal aspects of partnerships.
  • Ability to navigate technical aspects and drive efficient API integrations.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to derive insights from data and market trends.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Managing Existing Brand Relationships :

  • Oversee relationship aspects by leading and organizing mapping efforts within the organization.
  • Supervise the servicing of existing brand relationships alongside the dedicated team.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to manage P&L for brands, ensuring commercial success.
  • Work in tandem with the Legal team to efficiently close agreements and manage legal aspects.
  • Coordinate with the IT team to handle technical aspects, ensuring seamless API integrations.
  • 2. Driving New Business Development & Servicing :

  • Lead the onboarding process for new brand partnerships in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Identify and establish partnerships with brands that align with VG’s digital rewards ecosystem.
  • Conduct commercial discussions, negotiations, and contract finalization.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance brand alliances and expand VG’s reward offerings.
  • 3. Reporting, Analysis, and Brand Reviews :

  • Generate comprehensive reports and conduct data-driven analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track performance metrics to assess brand engagement and partnership success.
  • 4. Market Understanding and Competitive Analysis :

  • Gain deep insights into market needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
  • Identify new opportunities to enhance VG’s digital reward solutions.
  • 5. Technical Execution and Negotiations :

  • Facilitate seamless coordination between VG’s technical teams and partner brands for API integrations.
  • Conduct negotiations with brand partners to finalize commercial engagements and ensure value-driven collaborations.
