Profile : Equity Dealer

Designation : Executive / Sr. Executive

Reporting to : Manager

Location : Mumbai

Primary Job Responsibilities

1. Equity Dealing & Order Execution

  • Execute equity and derivatives trades accurately within regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure timely and error-free order placement through trading platforms.
  • Monitor real-time market movements and update clients for informed decision-making.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail and HNI clients.
  • Understand client investment goals, risk appetite, and financial needs to offer customized solutions.
  • Address client queries related to portfolio performance, account statements, and trading strategies.

    • 3. Advisory Support

  • Provide insights on equity markets, trading opportunities, and investment strategies.
  • Recommend financial products and portfolio adjustments aligned with market conditions.
  • Assist clients with risk management through diversification and hedging strategies.

    • 4. Revenue Generation

  • Achieve individual and branch-level revenue targets.
  • Drive upselling and cross-selling of equity and allied products (mutual funds, insurance, etc.).

    • 5. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to SEBI, NSE / BSE, and internal compliance norms.
  • Maintain accurate records of trades and client interactions for audit purposes.
  • Monitor client behavior to mitigate risks such as margin shortfalls or excessive speculation.

    • 6. Market Monitoring

  • Stay updated on economic trends, corporate actions, and market developments.
  • Analyze news and events to provide actionable insights to clients.

    • Academic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or Economics.
  • Mandatory : NISM Series VIII certification.

    • Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in equity dealing, trading, wealth management, or related roles.
  • Team handling experience : Not Applicable

    • Key Competencies

  • Customer-centric with a consultative sales approach.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail; ability to perform under pressure.
  • Proactive in identifying client needs and market opportunities.

    • Skills Required

  • In-depth knowledge of equity markets and trading platforms (e.g., NSE NOW, ODIN, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret market data and trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and trading tools.
