In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the structural integrity and efficiency of our projects by developing precise bar bending schedules (BBS), managing construction timelines, and supporting project planning and execution. Your expertise in translating architectural and structural drawings into accurate reinforcement details will directly impact material efficiency, cost control, and on-site construction accuracy. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, hands-on experience in construction project execution, and a proven ability to coordinate between design, procurement, and field teams. Your work will contribute significantly to project success, compliance with engineering standards, and timely delivery of high-quality infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify detailed bar bending schedules (BBS) for structural elements including beams, columns, slabs, and footings based on structural drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with structural engineers and architects to interpret design documents and ensure accuracy in reinforcement detailing.
- Optimize steel usage by analyzing BBS for material efficiency, waste reduction, and cost savings.
- Coordinate with procurement and fabrication teams to ensure timely delivery of bent reinforcement bars.
- Develop and maintain construction schedules, including milestone tracking, resource allocation, and progress monitoring.
- Support project planning by integrating BBS data into overall project timelines and workflows.
- Conduct site visits to verify alignment between BBS and actual reinforcement placement, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare technical reports, updates, and documentation for internal and client review.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, industry standards (e.g., IS, ACI, Eu rocode), and project-specific specifications.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians in BBS preparation and construction planning practices.
