Senior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and workflows using AWS services, including AWS Airflow, EMR, and Lambda.

Implement data processing solutions using Apache Spark with Java to handle large datasets efficiently.

Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases for performance and reliability.

Implement AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies to ensure secure access to data and resources.

Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and pipelines to ensure high availability and performance.

Document data processes, architectures, and workflows for future reference and compliance.

Stay updated with the latest AWS services and best practices in data engineering.

What will make you succeed

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

years of experience in data engineering or a related role, with a focus on AWS technologies.

Strong proficiency in AWS services, particularly AWS Airflow, EMR, Lambda, and IAM.

Experience with Apache Spark and programming in Java for data processing tasks.

Solid understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
