Job Title : Area Sales Manager (ASM) Distributor Sales

Key Responsibilities : Drive primary and secondary sales through appointed distributors in the assigned territory. Develop and execute sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Appoint, manage, and strengthen distributor network to ensure effective product availability and market coverage. Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key trade partners. Ensure effective implementation of trade promotions, schemes, and merchandising activities at the retail level. Monitor distributor performance inventory, claims, outstanding payments, and ROI. Identify gaps in market coverage and take corrective measures. Collect and analyze competitor activity, pricing, and market trends to suggest strategies. Ensure timely reporting of sales data, market insights, and distributor performance. Coordinate with internal teams (supply chain, accounts, marketing) to resolve distributor / market issues.
Key Skills & Competencies : Strong knowledge of distributor sales operations (primary & secondary sales). Ability to manage multiple distributors and drive performance. Good communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales reporting and MIS. Team leadership and problem-solving abilities. Qualifications & Experience : Graduate FMCG / Food & Beverages / Consumer Goods sales experience. Proven track record in handling distributors and achieving sales targets.
