Job Title : Healthcare Data Analyst (Offshore / Onshore)

Location : Remote (1–2 days onsite per month, any location)

Work Hours : 11 : 00 AM – 9 : 00 PM

Experience Required : 5+ Years (Healthcare Domain Must)

Employment Type : Full-time

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Data Analyst with a strong background in healthcare data systems, modeling, and profiling . The candidate will work closely with data modelers, architects, and business stakeholders to design and optimize data models aligned with IBM UDMH , while ensuring high-quality healthcare data integration from systems like Epic, Cerner, Athena, and Oracle FDI .

Key Responsibilities :

Data Modeling & Design

  • Collaborate with data modelers to build conceptual, logical, and physical data models in line with IBM UDMH .
  • Extend IBM UDMH models to meet Ascension’s custom requirements .
  • Develop source-to-target mapping documents and maintain data lineage documentation .

Data Analysis & Profiling

  • Conduct data profiling across multiple healthcare systems ( Epic, Cerner, Athena, Oracle FDI ).
  • Assess data quality, granularity, volume, and frequency to support business use cases.

    • Collaboration & Governance

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define subject-area models.
  • Ensure compliance with data modeling standards, naming conventions, and governance protocols .
  • Document metadata to support data governance frameworks .

    • Tools & Technologies

  • Use ER / Studio, ERwin, PowerDesigner for data modeling.
  • Apply SQL, Python, and Unix scripting for ETL and data transformations.
  • Work with Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark , and cloud platforms ( AWS, Azure ).

    • Required Skills & Experience :

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst in the Healthcare domain (mandatory).
  • Strong expertise in data modeling and profiling within healthcare ecosystems.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Unix scripting for data analysis and ETL.
  • Hands-on experience with ER / Studio, ERwin, or PowerDesigner .
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with onshore / offshore stakeholders.

    • Nice to Have :

  • Prior experience with IBM UDMH (Unified Data Model for Healthcare) .
  • Exposure to data governance frameworks and metadata management.
  • Knowledge of reporting / BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) .
