such as Mangrove, Cookstoves, AWD in Paddy fields, SoC in Agriculture, and Agroforestry etc., with in-house investments.

Kosher also manages carbon credit portfolios of hundreds of its clients

and helps them realize revenue. We also offer Sustainable solutions and services across a wide range of topics including carbon markets, renewable energy, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and corporate SDG compliance to name a few. We are spread across three continents with a global team headquarter in India.

About the role

The Regional Head

– Business Development(Africa- Corporate & International Markets) will lead Kosher Climate’s business expansion across international markets by managing corporate partnerships and carbon project collaborations. The selected candidate will be working across a wide range of services in the Carbon, Renewable Energy and Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), handling end-to-end business development — from proposal development and client engagement to negotiation and closure. The ideal candidate will bring strong business development experience in the desired region and a proven background in the Carbon Markets, Renewable Energy, Environmental Solutions, or NBS project domains.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Market Development

Develop and execute regional business growth strategies in alignment with company objectives.

Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in corporate sustainability, carbon management, and ESG consulting.

Establish partnerships with corporates, investors, and global sustainability platforms to expand market reach.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

Lead client discussions with senior stakeholders (CXOs, ESG Heads, and Sustainability Leaders).

Drive proposal creation, solution design, and presentations with internal technical and project teams.

Negotiate contracts and ensure successful project onboarding and execution.

Growth & Revenue Leadership

Achieve revenue targets through strategic client acquisition and long-term partnerships.

Monitor and analyze market trends, policy updates, and global carbon market movements.

Contribute to regional business forecasts, reporting, and strategic planning.

Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Lead and mentor the regional business development team to ensure target delivery and team growth.

Work closely with internal departments (Technical, Operations and Project Teams) to ensure alignment in client deliverables.

Represent Kosher Climate at international sustainability and climate action events.

Qualifications & Skills

Postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Environmental Management, Sustainability, or related field.

15+ years of experience in Corporate Business Development in Carbon Markets or Sustainability Consulting.

Proven experience in handling international markets and global corporate partnerships.

Strong understanding of carbon credit mechanisms, NBS, renewable energy frameworks, and ESG reporting.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.

Strategic thinker with the ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder engagements.
