Staff Software Engineer-AI / ML

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced  Senior Staff Software Engineer  to lead the development and integration of embedded software solutions for cutting-edge AI hardware platforms. This role requires deep expertise in  FreeRTOS ,  low-level device driver development , and  porting AI hardware IPs  to embedded environments. You will collaborate closely with hardware, systems, and AI teams to deliver high-performance, reliable software stacks for next-generation products.

Responsibilities :

• Architect, design, and implement embedded software using  FreeRTOS  for custom hardware platforms.
• Develop and optimize  device drivers  for various peripherals including I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe, and custom interfaces.
• Lead the  porting of AI hardware IPs  (e.g., NPU, DSP, custom accelerators) to embedded platforms, ensuring performance and power efficiency.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to bring up new boards and validate hardware-software integration.
• Drive system-level debugging and performance tuning across firmware, drivers, and AI workloads.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership across cross-functional teams.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of development processes.
