Channel Sales Responsibilities :

Channel Development & Management :

  • Develop and execute channel sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Expand distribution footprint by identifying and onboarding new distributors, dealers, retailers, and channel partners.
  • Strengthen relationships with existing partners to ensure loyalty, higher sales volumes, and better market penetration.
  • Monitor channel performance, resolve conflicts, and ensure adherence to company policies.

Sales & Business Growth :

  • Own revenue and volume targets for assigned regions / national business.
  • Develop and monitor monthly / quarterly / annual sales plans, ensuring achievement of sales KPIs.
  • Drive sell-in and sell-out initiatives, promotions, and schemes to boost channel performance.
  • Conduct detailed competitor and market analysis to capture new opportunities.
  • Team Leadership :

  • Lead and mentor a team of Regional Sales Managers, Area Sales Managers, and Sales Executives.
  • Define performance metrics, review productivity, and provide training and guidance.
  • Foster a performance-driven, customer-focused, and collaborative culture within the sales organization.
  • Channel Marketing & GTM Execution :

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design channel-specific promotions, loyalty programs, and incentive schemes.
  • Ensure effective execution of brand visibility, merchandising, and retail activation programs.
  • Drive digital adoption across the channel (B2B portals, partner apps, CRM tools).
  • Operations & Compliance :

  • Ensure smooth operations around pricing, order management, credit control, and collections.
  • Implement systems for accurate demand forecasting and inventory management.
  • Drive compliance to sales processes, distributor agreements, and statutory requirements.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • MBA / PGDM in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management.
  • Strong exposure to managing large-scale channel ecosystems across multiple geographies.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
  • Strong understanding of P&L ownership, channel ROI, and sales forecasting.
  • Exposure to technology-driven sales enablement tools (CRM, SAP, Distributor Management Systems).
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Strong track record of scaling distribution networks and achieving aggressive growth.
  • Ability to lead large teams across multiple regions
