Job Description : Tech Fellow – Software Patents Project

Location : Hybrid

Organization : SFLC.in (Software Freedom Law Centre, India)

Position Type : Fellowship (Full-time, Project-based)

SFLC.in is inviting applications for “Tech Fellowship”. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field (candidates from IITs, IIITs, or similar institutions preferred) are encouraged to apply.

About the Work :

The work is project-based, focusing on the granting of software patents in India and their associated techno-legal implications. It is a paid position that will last for a period of 12 months. A Tech Fellow is supposed to work for 40 hours a week.

Required skills :

Prior experience of working on Patent law and knowledge of the Indian Patent Act is preferred.

Familiarity with intellectual property concepts, especially patents in the software domain (prior experience / interest in technology law or policy is a plus).
