Job description

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Technical Consultant (ETL + SQL) in India.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth data integration and migration from client systems to a modern analytics platform. You will work closely with project managers and clients to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data accurately while maintaining high quality and efficiency. The role requires problem-solving, technical expertise, and strong communication skills to analyze complex scenarios and deliver innovative solutions. You will be responsible for mapping business requirements to technical solutions, identifying data gaps, and ensuring seamless execution of data conversions. This position offers a dynamic environment where you will collaborate across teams, continuously improve processes, and contribute to successful project outcomes. Night shift flexibility is required to align with client and project needs.

Accountabilities

  • Integrate and map customer data from source systems to the target platform with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform ETL activities to ensure timely and accurate data conversion.
  • Analyze complex data scenarios and develop solutions that meet business objectives within project governance.
  • Maintain traceability of requirements to solution design using tools like RTMs.
  • Identify and document data gaps to support impact analysis and change management.
  • Communicate findings, requirements, and potential issues to stakeholders and project teams.
  • Provide support during SIT, UAT, migration, and go-live phases.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams throughout the integration process, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data migration, ETL, or data integration projects.
  • Strong SQL scripting and data manipulation skills.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Talend, Dell Boomi, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with cloud and application integrations, and various data sources (.csv, Excel, Oracle SQL, etc.).
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and project managers.
  • Willingness to work night shifts as required for project alignment.
