Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role located in Kolkata. The Accountant will handle daily financial transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and prepare financial statements. Responsibilities include reconciling bank statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with financial and taxation regulations. The Accountant will also participate in budget planning, financial reporting, and audits as necessary, while ensuring the effective management of the company's financial resources.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and preparing tax returns
• Strong skills in monitoring accounts payable and receivable and conducting bank reconciliations
• Experience with accounting software and tools, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to resolve discrepancies in financial data
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certifications, such as CPA or CA, are an advantage
• Familiarity with financial regulations and tax compliance in India is a plus
