Mechanical Engineer - Member of Training Staff

About the Role :

General Agents is an applied research lab working on autonomous intelligence. Our focus is at the intersection of AI, CAD / CAE, and product development workflows.

We’re looking for experienced CAD designers, simulation engineers, and mechanical / industrial design engineers (3-5 years of experience) to help build our core datasets, design evaluation frameworks, and provide domain expertise for AI training.

What You’ll Do :

• Design and modify CAD files and assemblies from scratch for training and evaluation.
• Review CAD models, design sketches, and constraint systems.
• Define key use cases for AI in CAD / CAE / PLM environments.
• Design evaluation tasks : geometry validation, simulation accuracy, manufacturability checks.
• Work with AI researchers to translate engineering workflows into training objectives.
• Contribute to AI systems that can reason through design steps : sketches → CAD models → simulation → manufacturability.
