Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Design Engineer, located in Madurai. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and products. Daily tasks include creating and iterating on machine designs, product designs, and using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to draft and model designs. The role involves collaborating with other engineers and team members to ensure design feasibility, functionality, and adherence to project requirements and standards.

Qualifications

Design Engineering, Machine Design, and Product Design skills

Minimum 4 years of Experience in Design and development

Minimum 3 years of experience in Solidworks & Sheetmetal

Mechanical Engineering skills and knowledge

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience in the relevant industry is a plus

Key Responsibilities :

Create and revise 3D models, detailed drawings, and assemblies using SolidWorks

Perform engineering calculations and tolerance analysis to support design intent

Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and project management teams to ensure product feasibility and performance

Develop BOMs, part lists, and documentation to support production and procurement

Conduct design reviews and implement changes based on feedback and test results

Support prototype builds and testing

Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide engineering solutions
