Position : Assistant Manager / Manager - MEP (Tendering)

Location : Bangalore

Experience : 5-8 years

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Manager / Manager - MEP(Tendering) to manage end-to-end tendering, vendor management, procurement, and cost benchmarking processes for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects. The role demands strong analytical, technical, and negotiation skills with the ability to handle multiple projects, ensure compliance, and drive cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Tender Management :

  • Analyze tender documents, technical requirements, and project specifications.
  • Identify and evaluate suitable vendors / subcontractors for MEP works.
  • Prepare and float BOQs / RFPs, manage pre-bid queries, and coordinate client meetings.
  • Lead proposal preparation, cost estimation, and commercial negotiations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure full documentation compliance.
  • Follow up with clients, consultants, and vendors for timely submissions and Finalize vendor quotations and negotiate commercial terms for optimal pricing.
  • Prepare purchase orders (POs), manage approvals, and track material delivery schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, specifications, and timelines.
  • Manage vendor performance, including supplier evaluation, rating, and risk mitigation.
  • Maintain records of procurement activities and ensure audit compliance.

Market Research & Benchmarking :

  • Conduct market research to stay updated on material rates, labor costs, and industry trends.
  • Benchmark vendor pricing and material quality to ensure competitive procurement.
  • Provide regular cost analysis and recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
  • Required Skills & Competencies :

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation / tendering software.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple tenders / projects.
  • Strong vendor and stakeholder management capabilities
  • 5-8 years of experience in MEP tendering, procurement, and vendor management.
  • Proven track record of handling large-scale MEP projects in the construction or interior fit-out sector.
