SEO Team Lead (Strategist Role)

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive SEO Team Lead who can own the success of multiple SEO clients. The ideal candidate has experience leading small teams, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and ensuring consistent performance improvement across clients. This role combines strategic planning, hands-on execution, and team leadership to deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement SEO strategies tailored to each client's objectives and market.
Oversee all aspects of SEO including on-page, off-page, and technical optimization.
Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitor analysis, and market opportunity identification.
Audit websites regularly to identify technical and content-related issues; define clear action plans.
Collaborate with the content, design, and development teams to align SEO goals with creative and technical outputs.

Team Leadership & Project Management

Lead a small team of SEO executives and content writers, and ensure timely task allocation and delivery.

Review and refine the team's work to maintain high quality and accuracy.

Identify performance gaps, guide the team through problem-solving, and ensure continuous improvement.

Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, balancing priorities effectively.

Client Communication & Reporting

Serve as the primary point of contact for SEO clients, handling strategy discussions, progress updates, and review calls.

Prepare and present monthly SEO performance reports using tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Ubersuggest, etc.

Translate data into actionable insights and communicate measurable results to clients.

Recommend next steps and optimization opportunities based on analytical insights.

Requirements

2–4 years of hands-on SEO experience, with at least 1 year leading a team or managing multiple client accounts.

Proven ability to plan and execute SEO strategies that drive measurable growth.

Proficiency with SEO tools, including Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Ubersuggest, and other relevant platforms.

Strong analytical and communication skills with a client-first mindset.

Experience managing reporting, insights, and client communication independently.

Ability to work across multiple projects while maintaining strategic consistency.

Excellent command of written and spoken English.
