Life Actuarial Analyst Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Life Actuary to join our team in the actuarial pricing department. This remote role involves product pricing, regulatory filings, and benchmarking with internal teams and reinsurers.
- Conduct feasibility studies for new product pricing models
- Build and maintain Excel-based pricing models
- Prepare and manage IRDAI product filings and respond to related queries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Underwriting, Marketing, Legal, and Reinsurers
- Maintain pricing models and documentation in an organized format
- Conduct market benchmarking for product features and pricing
- Stay updated on regulatory changes relevant to product design and pricing
- Develop product calculators before integration with internal systems
Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need :
Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field2 to 4 years of experience in actuarial work, preferably in individual life insurance pricingCleared 3 to 5 actuarial papersCT1, CT5 or CM1 is mandatoryStrong understanding of life insurance productsProficient in MS Office (Excel) and VBA – mandatoryStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsDetail-oriented and self-motivated, able to work independently in a remote setupWhat We Offer
